Volunteers Honored, June 2010

On June 10, at the home of Linda Osborne, 50 people joined Creativity for Peace staff and board for a reception honoring our volunteers. Executive
director Dottie Indyke recognized a dozen individuals for their exemplary service and introduced new volunteer coordinator Frances Salles. Volunteers
received an update on the 2010 camp and signed up to participate. The event has become an annual spring tradition held in appreciation of the 150-plus
volunteers who generously give their time and talents.
PeaceWorks Volunteers Make Gifts for Campers, April 2010

PeaceWorks volunteers have been making gifts for 2010 campers, including laundry bags, jewelry, and other beautiful handmade items.
The PeaceWorks committee meets frequently throughout the year to craft items as a way for volunteers to connect
with each other and with the Creativity for Peace girls. The process of meeting with other volunteers is as important as
the actual jewelry and tokens that are made.
This is an open committee that welcomes new participants. Artistic talent is not required. Please contact Phoebe Girard,
at phoebesf@comcast.net, for more information. |
