HOME COUNTRY GATHERINGS
Campers return to the harsh reality of the conflict. They have changed but those around them have not. Often their new-found belief in peace is challenged by friends, family, school and university.
In order to deepen friendships and continue training, Creativity for Peace hosts many types of gatherings in Israel and Palestine for all camp graduates.
Examples of such meetings include:
- Mother-daughter workshops that include dialogue, art-making and social time.
- Home group meetings, organized by location and language, where girls discuss problems specific to their life challenges and experiences.
- Emotional resilience training, for young women to learn skills for safely expressing anger and pain, managing stress, and withstanding setbacks.
- Get-togethers focused on a theme, such as the development of an original song and lyrics and accompanying film with The Human Sound Project.
